Fairy Tale Trail or Traveling through Malá Úpa in the Footsteps of Marie Kubátová’s Giant Mountain Fairy Tales

A walking route through Malá Úpa with 10 stops featuring a permanent exhibition of Giant Mountain Fairy Tales by the famous writer Marie Kubátová. The wooden panels with the fairy tale are complemented by a children’s climbing frame, where you can spend time playing and relaxing. Each stop hides a plastic ornament that you can trace with a pencil into a booklet. Booklets with a map and description of the routes can be obtained for a small fee at the information center in Pomezní Boudy. The goal of your journey is to obtain the ornaments of all the fairy tales, for which you will receive a reward – a Malá Úpa groschen, also at the information center in Pomezní Boudy or at our place in Permoník.

HŘÍČKY Mladé Buky (formerly Baldův svět)

Hříčky is located approximately 100m from the parking lot – towards the bridge over the Úpa River. Tickets can be purchased at the bobsleigh ticket office or at the ticket office at the entrance to Baldův svět.

On approximately 40,000 m² you will find swings, climbing frames with slides, a 6-seater trampoline field, air trampolines, summer tubing, an 18m long inflatable caterpillar Megi, a 4-seater bungee trampoline, a water playground, a net boat, a duo cable car, a mini zoo with small Dutch goats, a maxi “Ludo”, a fireplace, the Devil’s Trail and the educational trail “Get to know nature with Balda”, refreshments and sanitary facilities.

The playground also includes benches, tables with parasols, a gazebo and bicycle stands. Entry is also possible with strollers. For reasons of cleanliness and safety, dogs and other animals are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
